The Mansisters is the camp moniker of this Danish/Icelandic outfit, consisting of Copenhagen-based producer Kasper Bjørke and Sexy Lazer (one part of the duo Human Woman).
The two friends joined forces in the studio after playing back to back as DJs all over Copenhagen and beyond, (incl. Roskilde Festival, Iceland Airwaves Festival, Kater Holzig in Berlin and Gewolbe in Cologne) where they decided that they needed some climatic, secret weapons for their sets.
Last year they released their debut EP on Canadian, My Favorite Robot Records, called ‘E.P. Phone Home (EP).’
Dj Mag (8*/10*) named it “weird and wonderful” – and everyone from Daniel Avery and Laurent Garnier to Chloé was feeling their quirky universe of spaced-out techno and dark disco.
Now, the second chapter is about to be unraveled. The Mansisters will join the French DJ Jennifer Cardini´s hyped label Correspondant for their next releases which will begin with a dark, flamboyant track titled “Jennie’s Diner,” which is a part of the Correspondant Summer split EP, released in.
